LOVE the podcast - new listener
I randomly binged some MAFS, loved Olivia and found this podcast. Now I love John too and can’t stop binging this podcast. Thank you both for an addicting true crime show!

Feels like we’re friends!
Check the locks is definitely my favorite podcast around. I love listening to John and Olivia’s chit chat, and they really do an awesome job of story telling. John’s voice makes me happy…. Does that make me weird?
And don’t forget the Facebook group where they are active participants and solidify the ‘check the locks family’ feel. Thanks John and Olivia!!

Love this show!
Definitely one of the pods I listen to every week and look forward to! I love the fun banter that John and Olivia have and the cases that are interesting but not the same as all the other ones out there!

Love this Pod!
I started listening when there were about 30 or so episodes in the bank after my sister recommended it to me since I loved Olivia on her season of MAFS. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I love the rapport between John and Olivia and look forward to new episodes every week! Now I recommend Check the Locks to all my friends looking for a new True Crime podcast to listen to. Great job you two!

Check them out!
Olivia and John always stay consistent with their podcast. They seem very down to earth and relatable. They keep the banter to a minimum and get right into the cases. I like the variety of different cases they cover, and that you never know if you’ll be diving back in time or learning about a case that is currently unfolding. I highly recommend checking them out!

I just love listening to the chit chat in the beginning to every crime you guys bring to the podcast. Both of your voices are great to listen too! They story telling is really captivating. I can’t wait to listen to the next episode! You guys are amazing!

True Crime Podcast Freak
I heard about this Podcast listening to another Podcast. I like Check The Locks more than the Podcast. I listen on my drive to work, work my 12 hr shift (not a nurse) and binge listen (yes, I listen @ 1.5 speed), listen on the drive home, I go to sleep listening to the CTL. I’m now to 12/23 (in the Podcast) & will be caught up soon!!! My dogs like that I go to sleep listening to the Podcast. That way I go to sleep & not tossing and turning, irritating them!

Wow!
I recently discovered this podcast after a recommendation from another true crime podcast (can’t remember which one). I’ve downloaded every episode and I am binge listening. I love the chemistry between Olivia and John, it makes you feel like you’re sitting in the room with them. Just having a chat with your mates. This is now my favourite podcast. Keep up the good work guys. It’s a five stars for me would give you more if they allowed it!

A long overdue five star review
Having listened to every episode since the podcast aired, I owe Check The Locks Podcast 5 stars! Obviously this show and the hosts keep me coming back to push play. Olivia and John are simply the best true crime podcast hosts! Both hosts are dedicated to finding new and interesting cases every week. Each episodes begins with easy banter (without too much “gabby gabby”), and ends with a unique question that engages the listener. Keep up all of your hard work!

I’ve been listening to true crime podcasts for a while, and somewhere along the way I zone out and miss most of the story. John and Olivia find a way to keep me engaged throughout the entire episode. This is a great podcast, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great hosts and stories you might not have heard about!

Fun true crime podcast
I like this flavor of podcast. I listen to this one regularly! Hosts have good chemistry and conversation without excessive yacking. Stories are interesting and suspenseful. Definitely recommend it! Thank you John and Olivia!

Love the podcast
John and Olivia do such a great job researching and telling these stories in a factual way, without drawing the details out too much. Appreciate their fun banter and how easy this podcast is to listen to. I never miss an episode and always look forward to the new ones each week. Keep up the great work you guys!!

A True crime MUST LISTEN
Olivia and John are amazing hosts- their chemistry helps for a flawless story telling experience. They are consistent with their episode release schedule which shows how much they care about their listeners. They have full length episodes and short on time episodes for those who need a quick listen! I love that they do the deadbolt test. It’s such a unique and creative way to rate the cases they cover, as well as a way for the listeners to relate and get their mind cogs turning. I am currently binging all of their episodes and couldn’t be happier with my experience.

I typically enjoy delving into a thrilling book, but this podcast has me hooked! The short on time episodes are the perfect length between dropping off my kindergartener at school and returning back home. I look forward every week to hearing new episodes. The only downfall is that I am spending way too much on new outfits for my one year old daughter from Great Lakes Kid’s Apparel. My husband is just happy less Amazon boxes are arriving at our doorstep. 😂 Keep up the good work!

My sister ( heyyyy Kayseeface) sent me this because of the Ashley Pittman Scott case since we lived in Cordova not long before that case and we both LOVE Olivia. Now I’m OBSESSED, I listen while I work and any time I’m in the car. Thanks for making slow times for me 1000x better.

Check the Locks is a must for all true crime fans. Current and past crimes are dissected with passion and humor. Olivia is especially captivating and deserves her own show. I love this podcast!

Married at first sight versus terminator
I started listening to this podcast after watching married at first sight. I have to say that I was late to the MAFS party, but I’ve binged watched every season, because there was nothing else on TV, But when I started, I couldn’t stop. And then when I found out Olivia had a podcast and you were on my favorite season of married at first sight plus your podcast is with terminator LOL JK. John Conner I said I got to hear this. So I downloaded it and I’ve listen to every episode I’m all caught up and wait patiently for Monday’s and Wednesday’s so I can hear new episodes. You guys are wonderful together. I listen to a lot of podcasts because I have an office job where I can have music or podcast going all the time. True crime is my favorite and U2 are absolutely right up there at the top of the list. Thank you for everything you do.

Great Podcast!!
I am a huge true crime fan and I am also very picky when it comes to podcasts! As many of the same stories get covered by almost all true crime podcasters, I really enjoy listening to Olivia and John’s storytelling. I love how you both stick to pertinent information and not try to “fluff” your show to make it longer and drawn out! Keep up the great work and know that you have a listener here on Hawaii Island. Highly Recommended Podcast for True Crime Lovers!
I've listened to several true crime podcasts, and while I have enjoyed some of them, I find myself fast forwarding a bunch of them until they finally get to the point!
I love being able to listen to Check the Locks while cleaning the house or on a drive. The podcast is perfect, because it's informative, to the point, AND we get to hear snippets of John and Olivia's life without it taking up more time than the crime covered!
John and Olivia have a great rapport, and are pleasant to listen to. I love how they encourage listeners to participate with the Podcasters, and that the show now has fun swag!!
Anyone interested in true crime should listen to Check the Locks!

I’ve known Olivia for awhile and never knew this side of her! I absolutely LOVE the balance of personal updates with the stories. One thing that stands out so much for this podcast over others is that they give so much love and detail for the victims. It’s a kind way to honor them. Now I can’t wait for Mondays and Wednesdays and I’d love to have even more episodes!
